How to Prevent and Control Excessive Sweating and Body Odor
Most people know the uncomfortable feeling of sweating heavily when it's very hot or humid. How would you feel is this happened to you all the time? Suppose that, aside from the sticky sensation you had, you were aware that your body odor was noticeable as well? How disturbing would it be if your body constantly had a repulsive odor that you couldn't wash away? Would you know what to do? For many, the only answer would be to remain behind locked doors. Sadly, this is something that many people struggle with every day. For anyone suffering from excessive sweating and body odor, this is a problem that can seem unsolvable. We will now look at a few ways to treat this difficult problem.

In extreme cases, the only way to cure a person of excessive sweating and body odor is through surgery. This option should be saved as the final possibility. It should not be your first choice. This surgery prevents your sweat glands from functioning as they usually do, and this may have undesirable side effects. Sometimes, though surgery is necessary to get an overactive sweat gland under control. If you are considering this possibility, you will have to ask your doctor if he or she recommends it.

You may not believe it, but there are some people who speak highly of using an application of baking soda to rather sweaty places on their body. In reality, we have not yet tested this out, though the reasoning for it is sound. Quite often, baking soda is used for sopping up moisture and cutting down odors.

This is the purpose of keeping an open box it in your refrigerator. It's reasonable to think it might help out in the same area for humans. You don't want to use a bunch of the stuff, although, a little dusting definitely won't hurt.

Oral medications are also available. Drugs have been developed that can stop or reduce sweating. Anticholinergics is one medication designed for this purpose. This drug can actually prevent your sweat glands from manufacturing sweat. This is the result you want, of course, but you may also experience unwanted side effects if you take this. A dry mouth is one of the more commonly reported side effects. For many, however, a dry mouth is a trivial issue compared to the discomfort of excessive sweating and body odor.

Most people would rather not sweat. In most cases, however, it's not something that is a major embarrassment that effects one's everyday life. If you suffer from excessive sweating and body odor, however, it can have a major impact on your daily life. Thankfully there are many methods for counteracting excessive sweating and body odor. There are a lot of over the counter methods for cutting down on these conditions. If none of these work for you, a doctor can help you figure out how to treat these conditions medicinally. You can have a normal life; it might just take a little bit of time to figure out how to make it happen.
